Godzilla:Countdown to the King's Return!

Okay, since the King of the Monsters is making his return on May 16th of this year, which is also his 60th anniversary, I decided that I'm going to go back and review all the old Godzilla movies. All 28 of them, and I guess I'll have to review the 1998 piece of crap that just had the name slapped on it. I'll be reviewing all of them, or at least all I can get my hands on, because there's a few of those movies that are hard to find. But, I'll do my best. The countdown will go on all the way to May, right before the release of the new movie. So, check back in a day or two, and the first of the reviews will be up! We are going to start off with the original 1954 uncut Japanese masterpiece, simply titled, Gojira.

Get ready for the countdown!

EDIT:

Yeah, I kinda lied/changed my mind on one thing. The first of the countdown won't technically be a review, but more like an informative article on the giant monster genre in general. Don't worry, the Gojira review is still coming, in fact I'll upload it on the same day. I just think that I need to cover the genre and explain why it hasn't been too popular in with western audiences, and a whole bunch of other stuff regarding the subject. I'll try not to make it a boring read. It's just something I feel needs to be done.

So, NOW you can get ready for the countdown! For real this time! Promise!

New Godzilla trailer

It's finally here! Godzilla has a new movie coming out may 16th of this year, and the new trailer has been released today. In case you don't know, this is my most anticipated film of this year. I'm a huge Godzilla fan, and this is VERY exciting! I am definitely going to see it on opening day. You can expect a review the day after, because there will be no way for me to process my thoughts after just getting back, then writing about it. With only about 3 months to go, the hype can only get higher.

The trailer itself tells us more than the first trailer, but still not telling us everything like others do. It tells us that Godzilla was discovered in 1954, and all those nuclear tests back then were not really tests at all, they were trying to kill him. Of course, this is Godzilla we're talking about, so he should just shrug it off and absorb the radiation energy. Now, 60 years later, for reasons still unknown, he returned to wreck havoc on mankind again. Based on the narration by Brian Cranston, I can assume that there is some government official trying to keep Godzilla a secret, so the public doesn't panic. But Cranston isn't having any of it, and he knows that Godzilla's return isn't an accident. Looks like Brian Cranston isn't f#%king around, even with an irradiated lizard kaiju running around.

So, this trailer sets the tone better than the last trailer, and it looks like it's going to be intense, suspenseful, and with tons of destruction. I can't wait.

Elysium 2013 review

This looks like it could have been either a remake of an 80’s scifi film, or a video game. But it was still cool.

Facebook page

I just made a Facebook page. If you want to check it out, just look up B-champs 3217 on Facebook. If you see several ones of the same name, then look for the one labeled community, because there were some... complications in the making of it. Stupid internet kept screwing up.

Lego Movie Review!!!!

This was a lot better than I expected. This is one of the few times everyone, including myself, applauded at the end of the movie. That says something.

Dragon Wars 2007 review

Imagine a movie with an army of dragons fighting in Los Angeles against the military, setting everything on fire and eating people. Sounds like fun, right? Now, make that whole battle only about 10 minutes long, and have the rest of the film focus on a bunch of idiots nobody cares about, have it based off of some random Korean legend that may or may not have been made up just for the film, terrible writing, and most important of all, have it be boring. The result is the 2007 movie called Dragon Wars... or D-War, the alternate title.
