Spider-Man with Marvel Studios / Better Call Saul premiere

Too much news to go through for a small Facebook post, so I'm posting this here. There's quite a bit to go over, so let's do it one at a time.

As you could probably tell by the big bold and headachingly obvious Marvel logo, the majority of the news as of late is Marvel related.

1: Yes, it's true. Spiderman will be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel and Sony have been negotiating about what to do with this character for a few months now, and all those rumors have finally been put to rest. Spiderman WILL be a part of the same universe as Iron Man and Captain America. This, sadly, means no more Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker... which also means that those two Amazing Spider-Man movies were for nothing. Oh well... at least they were good while they lasted.

I'm hoping that when his new movie comes out, it won't be a retelling of his origin. We really don't need that. We already know it. We've seen it twice already.

2: I assume that this is related to the Spider-Man ordeal. A few of the Marvel Phase 3 movies have been rescheduled. This was the ORIGINAL line up:

May 2016 - Captain America: Civil War
November 2016: Doctor Strange
May 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2
July 2017: Thor: Ragnarok
November 2017: Black Panther
May 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part 1
July 2018: Captain Marvel
November 2018: Inhumans
May 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part 2

Some of that has been changed. Now, it's THIS:

May 2016: Captain America: Civil War
November 2016: Doctor Strange
May 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy 2
July 2017: Spider-Man (co-produced by Marvel and Sony)
November 2017: Thor: Ragnarok (changed date)
May 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part 1
July 2018: Black Panther (changed date)
November 2018: Captain Marvel (changed date)
May 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part 2
July 2019: Inhumans (changed date)

I can already see some problems here. Because of Spider-Man getting a new movie, some of these had to be rescheduled. Both of the Infinity Wars films have maintained their release dates. Now, Black Panther doesn't get his own movie until AFTER Infinity War Part 1. People were hoping for him to have his own established movie before the Infinity War happened. But it's going to be significantly changed, since (I assume) his film will now take place during the war itself. The story will be heavily altered now.

Also, the Inhumans don't get their movie until AFTER Infinity War Part 2! I thought the Infinity War was the big finale. What's the point of having a movie after that? That would be anticlimactic. Unless Marvel isn't telling us something, and there's going to be even MORE Avengers universe films after 2019. Which... there probably will be. Come on. No matter how much people will say "there are too many comic book movies out", they'll be the only movies people will really care about for some time to come.

3: In other news, Non-Marvel related, Better Call Saul, the prequel/spinoff to Breaking Bad, had its premiere this last Sunday and Monday. I don't know if I can speak for everyone, but I love it! There are a lot of familiar faces, given that it's a prequel. There's not much to talk about now, but I will be keeping up with it and reviewing the first season after it ends.

That's all that's noteworthy for now. Be sure to follow my Facebook page for movie reviews and more.
