Lego Movie Review!!!!

This was a lot better than I expected. This is one of the few times everyone, including myself, applauded at the end of the movie. That says something.

I believe that most of the world’s population has had Legos at one point in their life. I know people with entire Lego cities in their basement, and even I have Legos. That’s the main thing the movie has going for it, a lot of people have Legos, and love Legos. And with them, there is no limit as to what you can build. This movie does showcase that very well, among other things. The characters, the comedy, animation, everything. All of it is worth seeing, and I'm going to tell you why.

The animation is all CG, but it’s made to look like stop motion. The entire time, it looks like the camera is zoomed in on a Lego world, and everything in this world is made out of Legos. Everything. The water, smoke, explosions, all of it is done with Legos, and it looks great. It helps immerse you into the movie.

The whole theater was laughing throughout the entire film. I mean it when I say that this film is one of the funniest I've ever seen in my life. It’s better than a lot of recent comedies. It’s full of pop culture references, and jokes you don’t want to forget. Sure, there are some kiddy moments, but it doesn’t hinder it at all. It’s done in a way both kids, teenagers, and adults of all ages can enjoy. And the part that people won’t believe is... the movie delivers all those laughs without a single cuss word or sex joke. Yeah. Impossible to imagine, right?

The last 20 minutes of the movie are the best. It hits your heart in the right places. It got people a little emotional. Just a tad bit. I’m not even going to tell you what it is. Go see it yourself to find out.

I love this movie. Delivering great laughs, great voice acting, great animation, and great characters, I will say that this film deserves a cookie. The year of 2014 does not start with terrible Hercules and Frankenstein movies, oh no. It starts NOW. No better way to start the rest of the notJanuary year. The Lego Movie will be worth every penny. It’s not a movie that you wait for to come on netflix, or something, it’s a movie you see while it’s in the theaters. I highly recommend this one. It’s perfect for people of all ages, and you’ll be quoting it for a while.
